[The post begins with a gasp as Med'an abruptly sits up, finding himself in his bed right after being hit by Sindragosa's tail swipe. At least, it should be right after. That's the last thing he remembers. And yet, that would make no sense. He should still be outside, fighting. Unless he was injured and brought inside; but he already knows that can't be the case, either, since nothing hurts and a quick glance at himself shows no bandages. Even a healing session should leave some sensation of pain behind, for an attack like that.

But he feels perfectly fine. He couldn't possibly have dreamt that a dragon attacked, couldn't he? That would be absurd. Not that he hadn't had absurd dreams before, but...

It feels like there's something else going on.

He fumbles over to his communicator, but pauses when his hand envelops it. It feels like something else is going on....

His hand is still covering the camera when he speaks, his voice oddly blank.]

[ Of course she knew he'd come back. Everyone always comes back here. Adachi didn't, but that was just a completely different case somehow, she had told herself. So Ange isn't particularly surprised to see a post from Med'an on the network again now.

Of course being with Souji had helped her a little, but he had his own concerns too - like Chie - she knew that much, so Ange had mostly spent time bottling up her own cropped up emotions and frustrations. The latter more at herself than anyone else. She had stood there and watched him die. And not just him, Chie too, and---

When she clicks her own feed on, there's dead air for a few moments before she actually speaks up. ]

... Yeah. [ She can't bring herself to say more for now, she feels like there's a lump in her throat. ]

[Okay, now his face is there. He really wants to get some face-to-face communication. Something is wrong and he really doesn't like it.]

That's...good. What....

What happened?

[ As if she could even bring herself to face him right now. Especially now she realises that he doesn't know he died. And.. she's not even sure if she can bring herself to telling him of all people that. ]

The Guardian changed her into a less dangerous form, and we captured her. [ She's trying so hard to keep her tone flat that it comes off almost exagerrated. ]

[That's not normal. Not that she's totally into talking face-to-face or anything, but if he's got video then usually she's got video....not to mention that voice. Sure she's linefaced, but not that linefacesd.]

What happened to me?

[ Yes, she's practically just stalling for time now - she really still doesn't want to tell him. But she knows she has to, that there's no way out of it and that it's the right thing to do. She just needs some more time. ]

Med'an. [There's a sigh in her voice, thick - she sounds all but sick with relief when she says his name, shoulders sagging. Her lips almost curl, but she looks simply too tired. Instead, she nods.]

We got her.

[ She's quiet for a long moment before she activates the feed, opting for audio over video because she doesn't trust her face right now and she knows she doesn't look too good despite that it's been days since the attack. She's had too much on her mind, too much to do in the aftermath and even now, and while she and Med'an aren't particularly close, they are comrades. She felt his loss. She felt the loss of Chie and Saki, too. Found herself struggling to come to terms with it, to rationalize it, and now... now she steels herself, smooths out her voice and addresses the boy. There will be time to let deal with the broken record in her head and heart later. Now isn't that time. ]

We have her in custody, Med'an. More importantly, though, [ Are you alright? It seems like such a stupid thing to ask someone who died and was revived, but -- ] are you alright?

[ She inhales quietly at that question, nodding unseen more to herself than to anyone else. ] You [ -- were killed -- ] died.

[ -- and the thought has her grip on the communicator tightening, a surge of renewed anger painting her expression unseen. She keeps it out of her voice in its entirety, though. She's not angry at him and the last thing she wants to do is give him that impression. ] It's been three days.
